We're looking for an Estate and Livestock Assistant to support our efforts in environmental stewardship and estate management. This is a genuinely varied, wide ranging and important role on a beautiful and diverse country estate. The Estate and Livestock Assistant will be a key part of the wider Estate team involved with livestock care, woodland and nature recovery work.

As the business enters the next phase of growth with additional sites across the UK, we are looking for someone to support the Estate Manager and the growing estate team with livestock care, woodland and nature recovery work at our two South West locations, Belmont Estate and Watercress Farm.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support with general livestock care
  • General, care and presentation of the wider estate and regenerative farm
  • Building and maintaining fencing / pens  
  • Assist with woodland management, timber extraction and firewood production
  • Opportunities to be involved in educational access, estate visits and ecological surveys and monitoring 

 

Reporting to: Estate and Nature Recovery Manager 

Responsible for: Estate Grounds and Livestock

The ideal candidate is someone who has experience working in agriculture, estates or woodland management, with previous work experience in livestock care. Interview Stage
  • We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible, with initial recruitment ongoing for approximately 4 weeks. We will be interviewing candidates throughout the application process and will shorten this if the right candidate appears early in the process.
  • We will begin with an introductory phone call before conducting interviews in person at our Belmont Estate Office. 
  • Candidates selected for interviews will go through 2 stage interviews depending on the quantity of applications.
