Large Black Pork

At Belmont we rear our organic, rare breed pigs in our heritage woodlands. Eagerly rootling for seeds, roots and fungi across large areas of mixed woodland, these truly free-range pigs enjoy a genuinely varied diet and lifestyle that results in a high welfare, slow grown, exceptionally flavoured meat.

Unlike many meat producers we age our pork in a climate-controlled ageing unit surrounded by Himalayan salt for at least 21 days. The careful ageing means you buy less water and more meat, giving the pork a rich and intense flavour and a wonderful texture.
